All power is related to other people. Individuals do not have power without others. Put the most powerful person in the world on a deserted island, how much power do they have now?

The contribution game creates four words that will change your life forever…
1. Advocates
2. Supporter’s
3. Believer’s
4. Follower’s

How many advocates, supporters, believers and followers do you have now?

Imagine having 100, 200, 500, or 1000s of these people.

Let me ask you a question…

What would be possible in your business and your personal life if you had 100s, or 1000s of Advocates, Supporters, Believers, and Followers in your database?

How hard would you have to work to find business?

How hard would it be to come up with ideas, opportunities, and solution to what you want?

Here is the key to becoming a mega-manifestor is having lots of Advocates, Supporters, Believers, and Followers.

This is why people like Oprah are so powerful and influential. She has a lot of Advocates, Supporters, Believers, and Followers.

So what is an agenda anyway? According to Websters an agenda is “an underlying, often ideological, plan or program.”

The thing about having an agenda is that it kills off all the potential magic in an interaction with another. How? When we have an agenda, we are focused on ourselves – our dreams, our projects, our NEEDS. Funny thing is when we are only focused on ourselves getting what we want actually becomes harder. Getting support from others when all we care about is ourselves is no small task. So why even waste your time focusing on yourself when there is an easier way?

Focusing on the needs of others ACCELERATES the speed in which what you desire comes to you. When you have a team of advocates, supporters, believers and followers life gets SUPER easy. And the fastest way to build your ‘team” is by massively contributing to others – without an agenda. See How to Play for details on What Contribution is and What it Isn’t to begin to gain mastery.

Let me start with a question: When you have all the money you would ever need, what would you do?

Most say, “I would travel! I would buy this thing and that! I would eat here and have that experience.”

Okay great! That’s the first year, now what?

Most people say, “I would make a difference for others, take on social issues, help my family, feed the hungry etc”

Exactly!! If you are reading this post, you are already a prosperous person. You have access to a computer, the internet and you have sought out a site about contribution. You have a big heart. If these assumptions are not true, stop reading because everything I’m going to say next has these assumptions in the background.

Skip the money and go for the experience. Act as if you have all the money you would ever need now and just make a difference. Your heart will sing. Your mind will expand. And you begin to build the vital ingredients to having a big life: advocates, supporters, believers and followers.

Why contribute selfishly? Two reasons;

1. It’s what you would do if you had fulfilled all of your selfish needs only to discover there is limited enjoyment in selfish pursuits.
2. You build a giant network of people who love and support you.

Think about how easy your life would be if you had hundreds of people that thought well of you?

It’s selfish to be selfless.

One of the most important parts of playing the Power of Contribution Game is when we are consciously being a Receiver. At first, this may sound counter-intuitive. Why is being a Receiver a big part of Contributing? The bottom line – it’s impossible for people to contribute if you won’t receive.

Contributing and Receiving go hand in hand. Think about it  – it’s impossible to have one without the other.

I wonder, have you ever blown off someone who was trying to contribute to you? At one time or another, we’ve all done it. Whether it was a compliment we just couldn’t fully receive, or being distracted to the point where a new business opportunity completely passes us by, missing a contribution from another happens from time to time.

Mastering the Power of Contribution Game is about contributing AND receiving. This week I encourage you to tune into those who are genuinely contributing to you and fully receiving what they offer. And the great news is the more you receive, the more is offered. It’s a very cool dynamic to dance in.

Happy Receiving.
