I hear Thach quoting Matthew all the time “all possibilities lie in other people.” The first time I heard that I thought “yeah, that makes sense.”

The more I hear it the more I see that it is so true. Our lives – as they exist in this moment – are the result of the people we know. Think about that for just a second. Everyone we’ve ever met impacted us in some way. Whether it is our best friend that we can’t imagine not being in our life, or the stranger that we passed judgment on in a nanosecond, our lives are literally made up every interaction we’ve ever had. That’s a cool concept to play with.

But here’s where it gets fun. When we recognize that our future lives – and our dreams – lie in people we may not have yet met something very powerful begins to shift. We begin to see the power and potential in playing The Power of Contribution Game with everyone meet. Why? Because there simply isn’t a faster way to have legions of advocates, supporters, believers and followers on your team. And in a life filled with advocates, supporters, believers and followers our dreams show up with rapid speed.

Kindness triggers positive results back into your life. Here’s a quote from my mentor Dr. David Hawkins from his book Power vs. Force

“Simple kindness to ones self and the rest of the world is the most transformational force of all. It produces no downside. There’s no backlash and never leads to loss or disappear. It increases ones own true power without exacting any toll.  But to reach maximum power, such kindness can permit no exceptions. Nor can it be practiced with the expectations of some selfish gain or reward and its effect is as far reaching as it is subtle.

In a universe where like goes to like and birds of a feather flock together, we attract to us that which we emanate. Consequences may come in an unsuspected way. For instance; we are helpful to a man on the elevator and year later, a stranger gives us a helpful hand on a deserted highway. An observable this does not cause an observable that. Instead, in reality, a shift in motive or behavior acts on a field, which then produces an increased likelihood of positive responses. Our inner work is like building up a bank account but one from which we cannot draw at our own personal will. The disposition of the funds is determined by a subtle energy field, which awaits a trigger to release this power back into our own lives.”

That trigger is kindness and playing The Power of Contribution Game with everyone, everywhere, all the time is fun way to access it.

All pain, all suffering and all frustration is nothing more then a self-centered focus.

The Power of Contribution Game is the access back to joy becuase the moment you focus on someone else, your self disappears.

Your “self” is the source of your suffering. When you don’t focus on you, instantaneously you are back in inspiration.

Having an intention is not the same as having an agenda. An intention creates space for what you want to show up in some form. You are open to how it unfolds. An agenda is being attached to achieving a specific out come via a specific set of steps. It’s this energy that kills off the potential of being happy getting the essence of your original desire.

Here’s an example. Say you set a goal to be more social and you set up an affirmation the supports this intention. “I am invited to dinner with friends once a week.” Good intention. Here’s the important part: Having an agenda that you have to go to this restaurant, on this day with that person doesn’t leave much room to be invited to a baseball game and enjoy a hot dog with your brother. While being specific about your goal is fabulous, being open to your goal showing up in a different way is equally fabulous. In fact, it’s part of what makes life juicy!

So, set your intentions and let it go…… release your agenda about how what you want shows up. And rejoice in all the amazing different ways it gets expressed in you life.
