I was excited this week to be able to make an introduction between two lawyers. One lawyer also works as an administrative law judge, and needs some help to keep up with his client workload. He contacted me for some ideas. Coincidentally, I had dinner a few days later with another attorney who has some room in her practice for contract work due to the recession. I introduced the two of them, and hopefully they will end up working something out! It was incredibly rewarding to be able to be able to help two great people, and know that they will both benefit from the connection!

Over a year ago, I was talking to a friend about an intention to create a business (I’ll skip the details). Out of the blue she asked me point-blank “Bobby, how can I support you with this intention?” I sat there speechless as I had not been asked this question that directly before. After expressing my deep gratitude the answer came instantly to me: “You know, I would love to have a conversation with Will Smith (the actor) for an hour.” She said: “No problem. I know his ex-chef.” I met with the ex-chef the next day at a coffee shop. The rest of the story is not relevant. What is important is this experience awakened me to the power of support and now I strive to live this daily.

Miracle Alert

Been advocating for others a ton…. and it’s amazing what ‘comes back’ when you are genuinely interested in the well-being and success of others.

Two days ago I declared that I wanted to go to a Mariner’s Game. 24 hours later a friend – who I haven’t talked to in a couple months – invited me to a game.

Easy, effortless and fun. That’s life when giving The Gift.

I got to give The Gift two times today…. One, I connected two people; Two, offering listening, compassion and understanding.
In both cases, I felt incredible during and after. Have you experienced the emotional high of contributing to another without expectation… for the JOY of making a difference to others? What was is like?

1. Connect deeply with others… get interested in people
2. Find out what they’re up to… what’s one of their important goals or dreams…
3. Contribute on the spot… offer ideas, advice, connections, support — from the heart
4. Then watch miracles occur in your life.

Mine is different, several years I was diagnosed with a debilitating illness, i did come across some money during that time but money was not my immediate focus then, my health was so since I lived in a area that none of really ever had money, i felt like i hit the lottery, i got up said a prayer and began walking and talking, while doing so everyone i came across had different stories, most of them were small but large in their individual lives, so i just started to help, whether it was groceries, money, school clothes for their kids etc., well ironically while i am no longer with alot of money (actually homeless) i am in better health than i have ever been!!!!! Physically and spiritually

Thanx

Miracles

Hello..so I am a long time believer in this philosophy, but have been neglectful in putting it to work until joining The Gift. Friday was my third time and it was a CHARM! I rode my motorcycle and brought a friend who desperately needed some outside connections! She decided to leave early due to the gorgeous weather and I was tempeted to go, but I had ran in to my old broker whom I hadn’t seen in over a year. Our conversation was amazing and when she went to leave he told me I should stay as he felt it “was going to be my night”…and was it ever!

I had shared that I work for an insurance man who does long term care, life and annuity work with retirees. I am not jazzed by that stuff by itself, but when I noticed the retired WOMEN were left unknowing about finances when their husbands passed , and I found I had this deep desire to help them be more informed. So, my first meeting was with an individual who is with SASH, a senior moving company (basically).

Next I meet a woman who is hooked up with women networking groups, then a healer, then a FABULOUS woman who works for a motivational company and she made sure I was attending the next seminar “to change my life”. Next, I met a woman who works for a radio talk show host that supports women!, and she was so impressed with my passion, that she started to sell me to a woman I knew that had approached us during our conversation! She was selling ME!!

Finally, a fabulous photographer who decided while talking with me, that maybe seniors in an active lifestyle setting would be a great idea!! It was just all around fabulous!! Still getting Facebook friend hookups!!

I had so much fun doing this. I was working at home yesterday and started thinking about the incredible group of people I work with in my office (about 25 people). I got an inspiration and made a big crockpot of vegetarian curry and took it into work today and gifted everybody lunch. It was a huge hit! Most people bring their lunch, and they just put them in the fridge for tomorrow. BTW, I added a heap of appreciation into the recipe…
