Let me start with a question: When you have all the money you would ever need, what would you do?

Most say, “I would travel! I would buy this thing and that! I would eat here and have that experience.”

Okay great! That’s the first year, now what?

Most people say, “I would make a difference for others, take on social issues, help my family, feed the hungry etc”

Exactly!! If you are reading this post, you are already a prosperous person. You have access to a computer, the internet and you have sought out a site about contribution. You have a big heart. If these assumptions are not true, stop reading because everything I’m going to say next has these assumptions in the background.

Skip the money and go for the experience. Act as if you have all the money you would ever need now and just make a difference. Your heart will sing. Your mind will expand. And you begin to build the vital ingredients to having a big life: advocates, supporters, believers and followers.

Why contribute selfishly? Two reasons;

1. It’s what you would do if you had fulfilled all of your selfish needs only to discover there is limited enjoyment in selfish pursuits.
2. You build a giant network of people who love and support you.

Think about how easy your life would be if you had hundreds of people that thought well of you?

It’s selfish to be selfless.
